This label is the recognition of the diversity and the exceptional quality of the Cambrésian heritage which has about thirty monuments registered or classified as historical monuments, witnesses of its eighteen centuries of history.
Its prestigious religious buildings, such as the cathedral, the Saint-Géry church and the Jesuit chapel, recall the importance of this episcopal city. The numerous remains of the fortifications evoke the strategic position occupied by this frontier town for centuries. Its houses, mansions, streets and squares tell the story of more than five centuries of development in town planning and housing.
